Bruschetta with CYRHANA & Fresh Tomatoes
The simplest things are often the most memorable.
About This Recipe
Golden toasted bread. Sun-ripened tomatoes. A generous drizzle of CYRHANA Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Sidi Bouzid region of Tunisia. This bruschetta proves that great cooking starts with exceptional ingredients — and very little else.
Ingredients
- ✓4 thick slices sourdough or ciabatta bread
- ✓3 ripe tomatoes, finely diced
- ✓2 cloves garlic, halved
- ✓3 tbsp CYRHANA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ✓Fresh basil leaves
- ✓Sea salt and black pepper
- ✓Optional: balsamic glaze to finish
Preparation
- 1
Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp on both sides — in a grill pan or under the broiler.
- 2
While still hot, rub each slice generously with the cut side of a garlic clove. The heat activates the garlic aroma.
- 3
Season the diced tomatoes with sea salt, black pepper, and half the CYRHANA olive oil. Let rest 2 minutes.
- 4
Spoon the tomato mixture over each toast slice.
- 5
Finish with a final drizzle of CYRHANA and fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
Chef's Tip
“The key is to drizzle the olive oil twice — once into the tomatoes and once over the final dish. This gives you both depth of flavour and a beautiful finish.”
